Living In Condo Community…

woodhillplace.jpgYou know, this is my first time being an homeowner, better yet, a Condo homeowner! Now, I knew that you share a common area of the community and any all amenities that the has. The regime fees or homeowners association fees – is to pay for your water, electricity and the amenities and maintenance’s of the common grounds which would include the landscaping; also there would be a Board (to help run the community and enforce rules/regulations according to whatever they have that has been put together when the place was built; and put some money away for any repairs needed…) these are homeowners.

Well… since I’ve been in this hell hole of a place, I was unaware of all the issues that surrounds this community! I was a first time buyer, and was not real estate agent yet…boy, was this a wake up call for me…I don’t blame the agent who sold me this place, as I should of done my homework as well and also found out a few things, but also blame this particular agent for NOT doing his job and looking out for me as a buyer, as he just wanted the commission and be done with it…(found out later he needed the money).

All that is under the bridge as far as am concern, I am now involved in this community and I will NEVER (okay, maybe not never) buy another one like this, if I ever do, I will diligently do my homework to find out about the property, ask questions, talk to the homeowners, and the board…this community has been run like a renegade and done as they please whoever was in charge at the time…when I first moved in, the management company was AMCS – they didn’t do nothing; We didn’t get anything, welcome letter, notice as to where to send in the payments, there was NO contact whatsoever and the only way I found out was a neighbor in my building told me that there was a yearly meeting at the Radisson Inn down the road… (to be continued) 😀
