November Post

Okay first off, I am again behind with my postings and sharing of great information and recipes. Especially filipino recipes! But this month comes way to fast, last time I looked it was August, and the sun was shining! Next thing, its freezing cold, wind, rain, cold windy day, grey day.. sun hardly coming out… clouds not letting the sun out…and there are so many things going on, this month is always has been a busy day and introduction to the Month of December and Christma, Holiday season begins. Well, it began this month! LOL…
November 1st has two events that happens on this day, firstly, it was my Mom’s birthday – she would have been 77 years old; sadly she left us in 2009. Secondly, it is my In-laws 39th Wedding Anniversary – which we celebrate the next following weekend when Ian has his 4 days off straight. We had a great time, and also got my surprise as well, which I will tell you later on, but lets continue with other events leading to my surprise.
November 14th – my little brother Jojo birthday… time sure flies way to fast! He’s the man of the this family and I am really hoping that he has an heir soon! 🙂 Yes, I was a tad late in sending his birthday card, but my sister was there and glad that they got to celebrate together.
November 18th – this is a sad day, as my son’s Dad (ex) passed this day one year ago. I messaged my son and lit a candle in his memory as well as for my Mom/Dad and the rest of the family that has left us in this earth. Can’t believe that he’s gone, but hopefully he is with the rest of family and no more pain.
November 19th – is my 15th Wedding Anniversary!! It feels like it was yesterday, and time just went so fast, didn’t even realized that it has been 15 yrs!! Of course, we have been together for 16 years but officially tied the knot one year later (close enough) 😛 As for the celebration, there were a few things that my sneaky husband did, he is an online guru; first off, he got us a decanter with two wine glasses made of crystal! I of course, was not happy as we are trying to save money for our trip next year. But, it did click with me, as I was trying to figure out what to give him and it happens to be crystal!! DUH!! LOL…. my surprise was a whole day with full massage, mani, pedi, haircut and color, style. By the time I was truly done, it was close to 2100 hrs!! But i enjoyed every bit that I was pampered!! I could get use to that, but it was pricey, I don’t know how much but,.. this was all done at Wimbledon, Gina C Aveda Salon!! THANK you babe.. i truly loved it! As for his surprise, I cooked a home cooked meal, as he had to work that day, and gave him a signet ring that he mention that he wanted.
Thanksgiving, November 27th – well living in the UK, they really don’t celebrate this so I usually have a few close friends over the house and cooked a thanksgiving dinner. Its my way to celebrate and I’ve always done it since I lived here. I don’t have many close friends, but the few that I do have.. they’re the most fun and loving people. I do have friends, but they’re mostly just acquaintances and or co-workers. I don’t know the date this year, but it usually falls the last Thursday of the month.
In the midst of this, Ian has a hospital appointment to check out his insides, which hopefully will be an all clear, and we are both determined after this holiday season to lose the weight that we both have gained back after we left the membership of David Lloyd gym. The reason is just way too expensive!! So, by the new year, we both have picked out our bicycles with all the necessary extras and will start going cycling around the countryside with a group of fellow bikers. I can’t wait, I am so ready!!
So there you are, November has been a busy month, and December is just around the corner! Hope everyone have a wonder THANKSGIVING DAY… wishing all of my family and friends for a lovely turkey day!
