How corn is quickly becoming the new crude Sunday, February 17, 2008
Financial Post — The pending global food crisis is due, in part, to a rich twist of irony: One of the factors driving up the price of T-bone steak, a dozen eggs and a carton of milk is a perfectly edible vegetable, a staple of many diets –corn. Adding to the irony, we’re growing more corn than ever before. We’re just not eating it. Corn is being diverted from human consumption, kicking off a domino effect of problems tied to food prices. It starts with ethanol produced from corn, which optimists hope will help solve the U.S. reliance on foreign oil, as well as provide a fuel that burns cleaner.
Our debut single is about to be released and if we sell enough, we could make the Top 40. And for less than the price of a pint of beer, you can help make this happen…

Swansea band V0iD are mixing it with the Best
With an album recorded with two of the Manic Street Preachers’ producers, who both love the band, and after several showcase appearances in London and America, the music industry are starting to sit up and take notice. Now signed to label and publisher Raven Black Music, V0iD are to release their debut Single on Mon 25th Feb. They are ready for the big time.
So far the signs are good and the word on V0iD is about to hit the streets: they have recently recorded an acoustic session with Xfm South Wales; due to be reviewed in Rock Sound Magazine and have been invited to play at the inaugural Exposure Music Awards!
But all this means nothing unless you get behind these local heroes and jump on board:
The band wants to do an Album Launch Party just for you, and you get to decide where.
Just email V0iD@ExposureMusicAwards.Org with the venue you’d like to see them play.
One of the lucky respondents will get the Full VIP Treatment, with Back Stage Passes, signed Albums and TShirts and get to hang out with the band and hear the real deal behind their relentless rise towards the top. They have partied with the likes of The Manic Street Preachers and The Automatic, now you get to party with them, at their expense.
