Living In Condo Community…

Hello Everyone!!

Am sure you’re all dying to know the update of what is going on here at my community…well, we will be having our Annual Meeting Jan 15 at 7pm held at the NC City hall….we will be also getting 2 new bloods to be on the Board of Directors seat and I am putting my name in the hat~!~ I will still prolly do the Secy/Trea hat, as we are not or do not have anyone in mind and feel that if we all work together as a team, we can manage!

Well, we are also voting a new President in, and this particular officer is happy that the president we’ve had, has decided to step down and not run again. He’s not bad, but very meek and NOT a leader at all. Still he has serve his purpose…so now the others are a bit worried as to who will be the 2 people to take the open seat available as we (the current members) work quite well together and we all have one goal is make this community a vibrant, friendly atmosphere. The project is almost done, we are just waiting on the painting for 7 building left (I think) and its really looking beautiful here. I can’t wait to post the Before and After pictures!

So, in the end, really this has been a lesson learned in buying into a condo community or any other type community, as there are quite a bit of them popping up – be sure to do your homework and find out all the details – read their Covenants and By-Laws, the Covenants will give you what you can and can not do, etc..and speak to the BOD members and also speak with other homeowners and tenants…might also talk to the Property manager…in the end DO YOUR HOMEWORK….your agent should be giving all this information, but be warned, some of them will do as little as possible, as their goal is get their commission. I learned that the hard way and now, I am paying for it!

Y’all been warned…good luck and hopefully this new year will bring more luck and be prosperous for all!
