Long Covid? Well, At Least A Long Convalescene
Hello again everyone!d Let keep going with what happen after I got home from hospital. When I was released from hospital, I had medication to take along with my high blood pressure pills. I was given instructions and an oximeter that connected to the hospital until they totally release me. I had so much pills to remember when to take, so I put them all together to take daily (includes any supplements that I was taking). I had to take Warfarin, its for your blood not to clot (while in hospital, it was an injection to my tummy) and record my oximeter daily. Let’s just say that when I arrived home, I had no energy at all to walk a marathon! LOL!
My body was weak and I had to walk slow or else I would ran out of breath by walking few paces! At first, I had to go upstair for the loo and out bedroom, so to me that help me a lot. Up and down…and if anyone was in a hurry, I would let them go first… I basically was recuperating at home and walking around the living room, backyard and up and down the stairs. It was agonisingly slow as every time I try to push myself, I would just gasp for air, but my blood oxygen would be at around 91-92% which the medical staff said it was good, but don’t try to run before you can walk. I really had to start over just to get me back and I had been off work since New Year Eve 2020. I was still under medical care and they were keeping track. I would get a phone call if my level went down below 90%. I didn’t know that it went that low so I had to let them know what I was doing to get it down. So, I really had to be taking it easy and do it slow. I am very impatient, but if I wanted NOT to go back to hospital and get back to work, I needed to listen to the medical staff and my husband 😛 he would not be happy when I tell him what I was doing. So, I did take heed of everyone.
