BUT… just to keep you abreast of my situation, let’s go back to end or near the end of January 2014. It was a usual day off for me and I usually meet my husband on his break from work… well its the afternoon and we both got off the bus after a very nice lunch in Isleworth (he had a 4 hour break) we were going back to get some coffee (either Costa or Starbucks). Walking through high street in Hounslow, there were lots of constructions as they are renovating the far end of high street to bring back the open market. It was one of those really bad gusty strong winds storms that the country was going through and it just happens to come our way.
Almost done by the use to be 2 pound store next a bank, I tripped over a cobble stone that was not exactly even, it was uneven and it was at that moment a wind came and blew me down hard that I broke my shoulder right through my arm. I didn’t realize it then, just though that I just sprain it, and it hurt sooo bad… we continued walking but could not more my arm at all. Hence this post, as I have been a one arm bandit for a few months and it’s not easy typing with one hand! But oh I digress.. it was a weekend, so hence did not run the A&E right away.. endured the pain and thinking it will heal itself…but Monday came, and we called the NHS hotline and was advised to go to A&E in West Middlesex Hospital, which we did (hubby came with before going to work).
Arrived checked in and waited, (hubby waited until he had to leave to go to work), just as he left, i got called in to the nurses station and sent to xray and didnt’ t wait long and the nurse told me that I had broken my shoulder and arm… saw my xray and the bone was split from top left corner shoulder down to my arm…suffice to say I was given an appt the following week to then fracture dept in ortho and put on a sling. After weeks, had 2 more xrays and a CT scans.. the last xray showed that my bones knitted nicely and escape the knife…
I have been doing my own physio and slowly trying to get the use of my arm back to normal which is not easy as its hurts like a F&*((er… and I also have been working the whole time with only one arm…my physio will begin on Wednesday this week and I am not looking forward to it as i know it will be painful. Now, it hurting badly doing this typing and feel the muscle tensing… so in the meantime, I will try to keep you all updated……
