After what seems like an eternity, I finally have my own transport again. Bought an Escort yesterday thanks to a lovely grant and, once I have taxed and insured it, I will be able to go travelling around the local countryside taking the pictures I have been wanting to take.

Funny thing is my friend in San Antionio has an Escort as well. Popular model me thinks. I will certainly post some pictures once I have them Kathy. Not sure about driving to London. I am happy driving to somewhere like Heathrow but driving inside London is something I try to avoid like the plague. However, if I happen to take a trip up there by train then I will take my camera with me and take some pics.

Well they’re cheap and cheerful. Not exactly a Lotus Elan, but they get you from A to B. This one is economical of fuel too, does about 30-32 miles per US gallon (that’s about 40 to the UK one).

Well the economical is what I am hoping for. I thought that diesel was cheaper to buy than petrol but I was wrong. Anyways, will soon find out how economical it is as it is now taxed and insured and I am finally driving it. Yayyyyy!!!

As soon as we get some decent weather during a weekend then I will be out and about taking the piccies. Train is definitely the best option when going to London.

Have put a film in to be developed earlier today. They are black and white prints. Don’t know how they will come out but, if ok, will scan them and put the best ones online.

I can’t see any options in the gallery for uploading pictures etc. Have I missed a stage somewhere?

Regards.
