Hello Family, Friends

Just wanted to share something wonderful with all of you!  My Aunt has written another book and has been aunt-bebepublished! Her first book was a book of Poetry and she has published another series of great writing!  We are very proud of our Auntie and wishes her many more books to write!  Visit her website – Jeanette W Dunn and you can order the books there.

The new book is called – “Tears of the Heart” ~

Synopsis of the book:
The story of two generations. mother and the daughter, who found solace in their work, possessing an unfathomable, unique virtues and wisdom. Confronted with disturbing suspicions about men, and the mystery of the man that Jane truly loved. Jane learned in her infallible journey that life is filled with surprises, mysteries and challenges. A story filled with passion, intrigues, and suspense.
A heart-warming story that confirms that love is a singular experience, plurality felt.  While every relationship is unique, each one offers a springy feeling, invigorates the senses, nourishes the being, and gives the growth which shapes the soul. A must to read!
Thank you!
Jean

Eartha Mae Keithearthapipe

DOB January 17, 1927

Died December 25, 2008

Nickname – Kitty Charles

Spouse: Bill McDonald -(June 6, 1960) Divorce (1965), one child – Kitt MacDonald-Shapiro and 2 grandchildren, Justin 8 & Rachel 4 (ages of the grandchildren might be different as this information was taken sometime in 2000?)

catwomanSad news today, Eartha Kitt passed away, of all days on Christmas Day!  Our prayers are with her family.  I loved Eartha, her voice and her own translation of the songs that made her great! One thing that I can honestly say is that NOONE has ever replaced her “purrrr” as Catwoman…an awesome woman and she will be missed by all!

Eartha Kitt was born out-of-wedlock in the cotton fields of North, South Carolina, a pregnancy resulting from the rape by a white plantation eartha-red-dressowner and a sharecropper mother of African-American and Cherokee Native American descent. Her mother gave her up, arrived in Harlem and by her 15th birthday had quit high school and worked in a Brooklyn factory.  She lived in friends homes, at the streets/subways.  But in the 1950’s she had danced and sung for her way when she joined Katherine Dunham Dance Troupe and did a tour in Europe and went solo and that’s when she became the Toast of the Continent – she received flacks about her stance on hard issues and plays no favorites.

Ms. Kitt has always made her age a secret, until a group of students from her hometown went to the City Hall and found her birth certificate – her true birthdate was January 17, 1927 (WOW, my dad was born in June, 1925!) they were only 2 yrs apart!
